High technology developed in the securities paper

For about 140 years since we founded in 1882, first to start making paper by hand and now we are making paper with machine in Echizen where the outstanding place of making washi.

Once we were making paper with watermark. It's was used for stock certificates and bonds because of its security.Although the amount of paper produced has decreased due to the computerization of stock certificates, our high technology is still being utilized in the production of high quality washi.
At present, we are making traditional watermarked washi such as company name, school name and mark, colorful washi and 98% recycled paper as raw materials. We put effort to make eco-friendly washi.
We would like to continue making washi that makes the best use of traditional techniques in modern times while inheriting the 1500 year history of Echizen washi.
