Washi that adapts into your lifestyle

We founded in 1946 are mainly making soft washi paper so thin that light can see through it.
We are also making paper that is mixed with leaves and patterned with water pressure.
Our paper is not only thin, but also strong and tear-resistant. It can be used in a variety of applications such as shoji paper, wrapping paper, and packages for Japanese sweets.
In order to convey the allure of washi to the younger generation, we also actively accept students' practical training. We also accept requests for on-site workshops.
You can visit our studio to see various types of washi in the gallery attached to the studio.
We will continue to make washi that can adapt in with modern lifestyles while preserving the tradition.
